Hyaluronic acid filler

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance produced by the body and is one of the most proven fillers in aesthetic dermatology. I use it specifically for volume enhancement and wrinkle reduction: from cheek and cheekbone augmentation to lip contouring, dark circles under the eyes, nasolabial folds, and chin and facial modeling. I also treat the neck and décolleté with precision. As a skin booster, hyaluronic acid intensively moisturizes the skin, reduces fine lines, and ensures a fresh complexion and natural glow.

Hyaluronic acid – wrinkle injections and natural facial contouring

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of human connective tissue and plays a key role in maintaining skin hydration, elasticity, and firmness. In aesthetic dermatology, it is used as a high-quality dermal filler to smooth wrinkles, restore volume, and precisely contour facial features. As it is a substance naturally found in the body, treatment is generally well tolerated and allows for particularly natural-looking results.

With increasing age, the skin’s hyaluronic acid content declines. Wrinkles develop, facial features may appear tired, cheeks lose volume, and contours become less defined. Targeted injections into different layers of the skin and underlying tissue can gently compensate for this loss of volume—without surgery and with immediately visible results.

Common treatment areas include cheek and cheekbone enhancement, chin and jawline contouring, and subtle refinement of overall facial proportions. Dark circles under the eyes, hollow temples, and downturned corners of the mouth can also be harmonized. Lip enhancement may focus on discreet volume restoration as well as precise lip contouring. Classic wrinkles such as nasolabial folds and fine lines around the upper lip (“smoker’s lines”) can be effectively treated. Fine lines on the neck and décolleté can also be improved.

Hydration, Firmness and Glow – Hyaluronic Acid as a Skin Booster

In addition to traditional wrinkle treatment, hyaluronic acid is widely used as a so-called skin booster. In this approach, it is injected more superficially and over larger areas to sustainably replenish the skin’s moisture reserves. The complexion appears smoother, plumper, and more refreshed. Fine crepey lines are softened, and overall skin quality is enhanced.

Achieving optimal results requires a thorough analysis of facial proportions and the careful selection of the appropriate product with suitable viscosity and lifting capacity. Different hyaluronic acid gels allow for subtle volumization, defined contouring, or intensive hydration, depending on the treatment objective.

The goal of every hyaluronic acid treatment is a harmonious and authentic appearance. Natural facial expressions are preserved while contours are strengthened and age-related changes are gently corrected.

The longevity of results depends on the treatment area, the product used, and individual factors such as metabolism. In most cases, results last between 6 and 18 months. Areas with more movement, such as the lips, may require earlier touch-ups.

Treatment is generally well tolerated. Most hyaluronic acid fillers contain a local anesthetic (lidocaine) to minimize discomfort. In addition, a topical numbing cream can be applied before the procedure. Patients typically experience only mild pressure or brief stinging sensations.

Mild swelling, redness, or small bruises at the injection site may occur and usually subside within a few days. In most cases, patients can resume normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
